John Digweed is a highly influential British DJ, music producer, and record label boss who helped shape the global Progressive House movement. He began his musical journey at the young age of 13 in his hometown of Hastings before achieving a massive international breakthrough in the early 1990s.
Alongside fellow DJ Sasha, he released the seminal Renaissance compilation and made history by securing a legendary residency at New York’s famous club, Twilo. Together with Nick Muir, he also formed the production duo Bedrock, creating iconic underground tracks like “Heaven Scent” and “For What You Dream Of”, which gained worldwide fame on the Trainspotting movie soundtrack.
Building on this success, he founded Bedrock Records, an independent label that has championed high-quality electronic underground music for decades. His relentless dedication to the scene earned him the title of World No. 1 DJ by DJ Mag in 2001.
For twenty years, he also hosted Transitions, a globally syndicated weekly radio show that reached millions of electronic music fans across the world. Today, Digweed remains a universally respected figure who continues to tour internationally and inspire new generations of clubbers and artists alike.
