The long-awaited collaboration from David Penn, Vintage Culture and Raphaella, ‘Just Stay The Night’ kicks off Defected’s 2025 catalogue. Building on his fruitful relationship with the London label is Spanish selector David Penn, a Defected House Master whose label catalogue includes quality house cuts like 2020’s ‘Nobody’ featuring Dames Brown as well as celebrated remixes of Pete Heller’s ‘Big Love’, Sandy Rivera’s ‘I Can’t Stop’ and Candi Staton’s ‘Hallelujah Anyway’. Kickstarting this year’s releases, he collaborates with Brazilian titan Vintage Culture, a DJ Mag Top 10 artist for the past two years thanks to his distinct and almighty tech sound that has pounded stages from Tomorrowland to Coachella; also no stranger to the Defected catalogue, his modern house hit ‘Nightjar’ with Sonny Fodera featuring SHELLS received global play. Acclaimed dance music writer and vocalist Raphaella joins these powerhouses with ease, having worked with the likes of MK, Sonny Fodera and Martin Solveig. ‘Just Stay The Night’ brings together all three artists’ signature sounds; David Penn’s impactful piano lines meld with Vintage Culture’s driving basslines and rolling percussion, as Raphaella’s alluring vocals come to the fore for an unforgettable collaboration on Defected.
